That lyric rings true when you first hear the music of Midnight Carolina. This 4 piece rock group hailing from Los Angeles is the band rock fans everywhere have been waiting for. Pairing dirty guitar licks with funky bass riffs and catchy lyrics backed by hard hitting drums these guys only write hits, striking a perfect balance of smooth punchy vocals and aggressive instrumentals to deliver that “soft kisses before the bites” kind of feel.
Comprised of a group of dreamers and musical misfits, it all started when lead singer and lyricist Aiden Nicholas moved to LA to form a band after returning from a trip around the world in search of a new passion. Several short-lived collaborations later multi-instrumentalist Nico Hernandez joined as lead guitarist followed shortly by Sebastian Antonio bringing his Hip Hop swagger to the drums. Ricky Torres rounds out the group on bass coming from goth rock band Bella Vengance. Citing a wide range of influences such as Aerosmith, The Black Crowes, Foo Fighters, Nirvana, Cage The Elephant and The Black Keys. Midnight Carolina’s unique style combines the best elements of rock and roll with just the right amount of pop to create wickedly addictive hooks.
After over a year of rehearsing, writing, and meticulously planning their rock and roll campaign the band is ready for it’s LA debut with the highly anticipated release of their first single “Drink Myself to Sleep”.
This preview into the band’s bluesy southern rock style is sure to leave fans everywhere eager for the summer release of their EP which is currently under production.
